ChatVAL is built to grow alongside your business. What starts as an AI assistant that explains your data will soon become a powerful operator that executes tasks and delivers advanced analytics — all in plain English.

Here’s how we see ChatVAL evolving, within each phase, it would have its own set of features and deliverables that we will release to customers:

✅ Phase 1: Insight & Summary (Early Access)

ChatVAL explains what’s happening in your business — in plain English.

  • Answer questions on outlet sales, receipts, costs, and LQS

  • Flag missing data, anomalies, and unusual trends

  • Guide users to prebuilt metrics already processed by VAL

🧠 Example:

“Which outlets had 0 net sales last week?”

“Summarize my brand’s performance for March”

🔢 Phase 2: On-the-Fly Calculation (In Planning)

ChatVAL begins to perform calculations that aren’t already prebuilt in the dataset — directly during the conversation.

This phase enables ChatVAL to:

  • Dynamically compute values based on user-selected filters or date ranges

  • Combine fields and apply formulas that aren’t part of the pre-aggregated metrics

  • Handle interactive math (e.g., dividing two metrics, aggregating across dimensions, calculating ratios not stored in the data)

⚠️ These calculations are powered by logic modules in VAL, not guessed by the AI — ensuring accuracy and traceability.

🧮 Example:

“What’s the average basket size for weekends vs weekdays this month?”

“Divide net sales by man-hours for each outlet last week”

“Show total 3P sales for outlets with revenue above $10K in March”

“Which outlet has the highest item count per transaction this year?”

📊 Phase 3: Advanced Analytics (Planned)

ChatVAL surfaces deeper trends and actionable insights using prebuilt analytics modules.

  • Promotion uplift, item momentum, daypart performance

  • Forecasts and simulations using trend history

  • Explain analytics in business-friendly terms

📈 Example:

“Which items are growing the fastest in the last 30 days?”

“Show me the projected sales next month if current trend continues”

⚙️ Phase 4: Task Execution (Planned)

ChatVAL begins to act — not just answer.

  • Trigger data refresh, generate and export reports

  • Run prebuilt workflows (e.g. reconciliation, LQS check)

  • Push outputs to accounting, HR, or external systems

🛠️ Example:

“Export March reconciliation to Excel”

“Trigger staff shift planner for April”

🤖 Phase 5: Automation & Decision Support (Vision)

ChatVAL proactively identifies issues and suggests actions — almost like an ops co-pilot.

  • Detect data gaps and anomalies automatically

  • Recommend follow-ups or next best actions

  • Coordinate systems via smart logic triggers

🔔 Example:

“Notify ops if any outlet drops >15% in 3 consecutive days”

“Auto-flag LQS shortfalls and suggest shift adjustments”
